This modest blue butterfly was taken in the glade of the old pine forest. I had big trouble because the butterfly was flying high and then perched on short time. Only one shot I managed to take. The Holly Blue is a beautiful butterfly, with pale silver-blue wings spotted with pale ivory dots. In Europe, the first generation feeds mainly on Holly (Ilex aquifolium) but the second generation uses a range of foodplants.
