Even in late October we had the “golden autumn” and 9 November fell abundant snow and we have a winter landscape. Such sudden changes in nature endeavouring sometimes. Typically, winter develops in December, but we also have winter without snow or very short lasting several weeks. I think animals have difficulties in adapting to change so quickly. Yesterday I watched a large flock of fieldfare (Turdus pilaris) who looked for food. Left on apple fruits they are now their delicacy. Also, a lot of tits scurried near homes where often prepared their feeders. We take care of these birds and it is nice to observe them, the nature around is so poor.
