They say that autumn is the best time to photograph autumn. It’s true, we have colourful trees, autumn fogs in the morning. However, late autumn is coming. The trees become bare, and the days are cloudy and gray. Sometimes the views are almost black and white. The rainy weather is not conducive to walking or photography. You can try small elements of nature in the forest. Such macro images can be interesting. You need creativity to take interesting photos at this time.

It is said that autumn landscapes are a photographer’s favorite subject. The richness of colors, autumn mists and soft light are conducive to obtaining beautiful photos. Of course, you should look for good views and choose the right light. If you take a photo without much thought, it may turn out that the autumn landscape will be so-so. Sometimes a photo of a small element of nature is much more interesting than a landscape. Many attractive opportunities can be found in the forest. Trees take on various colors. Photos of mushrooms and mosses can be interesting. Here are a few photos taken with a smartphone and a SLR camera.

Now a bit about mobile phones https://siteofnature.com/now-a-bit-about-mobile-phones/ Wed, 21 Aug 2024 15:15:39 +0000 https://siteofnature.com/?p=18804 The post Now a bit about mobile phones appeared first on Site of nature.

Mobile phones are ubiquitous. Using them for photography is an everyday occurrence. Mobile phones take increasingly better quality photos. However, it is difficult to use only a mobile phone in nature photography. The conditions for taking photos can be so difficult that we can’t do anything with a mobile phone. However, mobile phones have the advantage that we always have them with us and they take up very little space. There are situations when we have the opportunity to take interesting photos and we only have a mobile phone. Macro photography requires specific equipment. Well, I sometimes use a mobile phone to take photos of insects. If you put in the effort, you will get quite a good result. Below is a photo of a butterfly that I took with a mobile phone. The sharpness is satisfactory and the background is beautifully blurred. Well, maybe not as good as with the right equipment.

Photographing landscapes with a mobile phone happens. I happen to have great light. I don’t carry any equipment, and I have the mobile phone in my pocket. If we also take care of the composition of the frame, it is great. I take a photo and it is interesting. With photography experience, photos from a mobile phone can be quite successful. Unfortunately, many people take photos without any thought. They do not use the advantages of a mobile camera as they should. Even documenting family events with a mobile phone can be done interestingly with good quality photos.

I haven’t continued my posts for a long time. This time about a short trip after the rain before the evening. The weather was very pleasant, humid, windless and warm. It was too late for photography and almost dusk. That’s when animals come out to the meadows. Near the village of Jaczno we spotted 3 roe deer. Quite far away and the conditions were poor. Some photos came out. Near the village of Butrymowce we were even later. Here too a roe deer was grazing a bit closer and suddenly a white heron appeared on the river bank. However, it quickly got scared and flew away. I took a few photos in flight. The white heron has been seen in this place for several years now. I wonder where it nested. Here are my photos below.

The turn of May and June is the best time to photograph field and meadow flowers. You can also see a lot of insects on flowers and plants then. Different species of butterflies search for flowers. Beetles can also often be spotted. Of course, they occur in other environments. The plants are stationary unless the wind is blowing, so you can prepare your camera settings well for the photo. However, butterflies are constantly moving. It is very often impossible to take a good photo. It’s different with beetles. Some species are slow and the problem is minor. However, there are those who quickly run away and hide. Typically, many of us have no idea how many different insects there are around us. Photography allows you to take a closer look at them. They can be very peculiar and beautiful.

It randomly occurred to me when I first posted on this site. And now the 12th anniversary is approaching. On February 7, 2012, I wrote a short text about a woodpecker. I photographed it on a dry burdock stalk. At first I wasn’t sure if it was a woodpecker. A lot has changed since then. WordPress now gives you many new publishing tools. It’s now easier to create a variety of posts. Observations of nature bring quite sad forecasts. There are fewer and fewer birds here, which especially visited us in winter. Despite often unfavourable conditions, I try to publish current information about our nature
