The last two months are cloudy, often rainy. The only sunny day was yesterday. Of course, we visited the forest. As we used to observe nature, we look for animals. At the edge of the forest a deer showed up, but immediately hid from us. There were 3 deer elsewhere at the edge of the forest. Quite a distance. However, they are skittish. I took some photos. Elsewhere we saw fresh elk tracks, their droppings, and the eaten tips of young pines. We did not meet the elks themselves. Although there was a cold unpleasant wind, the forest was bearable. The forest air smells of resin and fallen leaves.
