There was almost no winter. Spring warmth came early. In mid-April the temperature soared to 25 degrees. Everything around turned green. It is very dry here. Rains did not reach us from the south. Lack of moisture delays vegetation. Suddenly a gust of wind came from the north. Morning frosts came. Some plants were frozen. Successive sunny days dry out the soil. Mirabelle plums withered, then plums, then sour cherries and sweet cherries. Apple trees are blooming. The flowering of many shrubs has also ended. I wonder what the harvest will be like.
Birds are getting ready to breed, but the conditions are not favorable. Lack of water and moisture in the soil leads to a lack of food. Usually May is the month of awakening spring. Now the bird cherry is withering, and soon the lilacs will bloom.
