Until recently, the blackbird (Turdus merula) occupied forest areas. It favors damp alders with dense undergrowth. After arrival, we hear their singing especially just before and after sunset. Blackbirds are quite shy. They look like a starling, which nests in tree holes and nesting boxes near buildings. The blackbird is easy to distinguish. The color of its plumage is matte, the rim around the eye and the distinct yellow color of the beak.

For some time now, it has also started to inhabit places near buildings. You can watch it wandering through the grass and undergrowth in search of food. I took the photos below in front of my balcony.
