There was nice sunny and frosty day. I set out with my camera on back and ski on feet to near fields. After about twenty minutes I’ve met unexpectedly woodpecker. It perched on dry burdock as it were tree and knocked it. I took a few photos but it was enough long distance for my lens 200mm. In my countryside I watched very often Dendrocopos major another species didn’t meet. It was The lesser spotted woodpecker (Dryobates minor). This woodpecker is the size of a sparrow.
