Most recently we have not winter weather. Temperature ranges near zero. Thus we have a cloudy, humid and foggy. In this weather we drove to the town of Hajnówka. Just before the village Nowosady, which lies on the western edge of the Bialowieza Forest, we saw a huge herd of bison on the field probably 60-80. Visibility was poor due to fog. We got out of the car and the side of the road I made a few photos using the open door as a tripod. I have not had the time or opportunity to get closer, the snow was deep and wet.
The next day, returning by the same route Again we saw them in the same place. The weather was similar and also have taken a few pictures. From a herd of bison disappeared part. I saw in the distance a few photographers who approached the herd to perform better pictures. In the wild bison I have seen a second time. The first time I saw about 25 years ago, in the summer in dense forest near the road to Bialowieza and it was a lone bison. I do not even try to be photographed. Here are some pictures.
