The period of real winter lasted far too short. For people associated with winter recreation and tourism, profits run out too quickly. The end of January and almost the whole of February is warm and snowless weather. We had a lot of rain, but sunny days are conducive to walking. Every time we pass a stream, the beavers rebuild the dam. It’s so easy to observe. Even though someone systematically destroyed the dam, they always rebuild it. Ravens or jays and a flock of buntings pass by from time to time.
