Approaching autumn and butterflies wanes. Some species just about this time of the easiest to find. Wandering along the edge of the woods looking for mushrooms, but also watched the insects. I saw a few, but they flew and waited some time to take a photo. Several attempts are unsuccessful as usual, until one of them calmly gave up approaches. Rather it was a good place, too much was in the background of grass and other plants. The light was sufficient for photos. Here is my large copper (Lycaena dispar) – female.
