After a few years, the waxwings arrived today. This means that a cold winter has begun in the far north. They are looking for food from us. Their favorite delicacies are fruits: apples, rowan berries, grapes. The latter are probably their most favorite. How easily the waxwings found them on the balcony of our block. There probably won’t be any berries left by the evening. I have been observing these birds for many years. I know their way of being. They get scared quickly. They are very active and feisty. They fly in large flocks.         Today I noticed a few in the rowan tree near the car park. I brought my camera and they had already moved to the top of the tall ash tree. Then suddenly they flew away to another rowan tree. Then they flew beyond the block. I already knew they had found grapes. There we managed to take some photos from a rather uncomfortable position. A very cloudy day, little light. I’m still satisfied with the quality of the photos. I wonder if they will visit us tomorrow.
